The Grand Rapids Dam Breakers were an alternate persona of the West Michigan Whitecaps. The brand was designed to bring awareness to the Grand River restoration project that is bringing excitement to our waterway. The project will restore the rapids back to a 2.5 mile stretch of the river in downtown Grand Rapids. The Whitecaps changed their name and logo to the Grand Rapids Dam Breakers for one game per year from 2021 to 2025.
